« A lot of mixed thoughts and emotions in this weird and scary time that the world is facing.

. The spanish goverment just declared a 2 weeks lockdown, no bike riding. Things are progressing so fast. I had barely digested the news that all the spring races were gone, now we’re at a whole other level, the racing don’t even matter. I think about the massive consequences of this crisis, of people’s health and lives, real people, not just numbers, on our health system, on the small businesses, the tourism industry here, and the whole world’s economy…

. So this is how my training camp in Mallorca ends. So weird. At the same time, I feel so grateful for these 2 months here, such a wonderful country and island I discovered here! I trained harder and longer than I ever had, reaching new milestones that made me feel so confident about my future in cycling. Lots of high moments and rich experiences to remember…

. So now - maybe a few days too late - I will attempt to go back home… and until I succeed… quarantine in Mallorca! »
